Mindfulness Through Sensory Experience
Explore the connection between aromatics, emotional wellness, mindfulness, and intentional living through sensory-centered experiences designed to support reflection, presence, and emotional connection.

Making Scents of Aromatics
Essential oils are highly concentrated aromatic compounds extracted from plants, flowers, leaves, roots, peels, and resins. For centuries, aromatics have been used across cultures in rituals, wellness practices, mindfulness, reflection, and everyday life.
Because scent is closely connected to areas of the brain associated with memory, emotion, behavior, and the nervous system, aromatics can become powerful tools for creating more intentional experiences throughout the day. Certain scents may help support moments of reflection, mindfulness, creativity, comfort, motivation, emotional connection, rest, or focus depending on the atmosphere and intention being created.
Together, we can thoughtfully explore ways to incorporate aromatics into your everyday life, mindfulness practices, workshops, or personal wellness routines in ways that feel supportive, meaningful, and aligned with your goals and emotional wellness needs.

The Reticular Activating System & Intentional Living
The Reticular Activating System (RAS) is a network in the brain that helps filter information and determine what receives our attention and focus. In many ways, it acts like a mental filter, helping the brain notice what feels important, relevant, meaningful, or emotionally significant.
This is why I incorporate aromatherapy into vision board workshops and pair the experience with visualization, intention, and mindfulness. When we engage the limbic system through scent and connect it with reflection, goal-setting, emotional states, or meaningful rituals, aromatics can become powerful sensory anchors tied to memory, awareness, and intention.
Aromatherapy can also be incorporated into private sessions, workshops, mindfulness practices, and intentional wellness experiences for those interested in exploring this connection more deeply.
